Blacktoft is springing

First walk along the river bank ,part of the trans- penine way, this year as James conducted a funeral at Blacktoft. The primroses and daffodils are out in the churchyard.  It is a lovely part of the East Riding. I was reminded of a bit of Tolkein, perhaps appropriate for a funeral , but definately for the view

"Roads go ever ever on,
Under cloud and under star.
Yet feet that wandering have gone
Turn at last to home afar."

The Easter story with pre-school

It was great to welcome the Under fives, helpers and some family members to the minster. Elizabeth told the story with the help of the knitted last supper and other props. You can probably spot other bits and pieces from the easter story - plus the happy/sad faces for the story.
